Publishing Intern
DILIM Press is seeking interns to publish our annual anthology.
This position can provide up to 15 hours of work per week and will run for a maximum of 15 weeks, rolling anytime between March 1, 2026, and October 30, 2026.
The position can be fully remote.
The internship is unpaid. Students who need academic credit at their college or university are invited to participate, we will provide substantiating information. Timekeeping required.
Duties include:
1) Publicizing submissions including identifying writers in the genre
2) Determining scoring mechanism, applying matrix to first-review and second-review participants for incoming submissions
3) Editorial: first-round discussions with developmental editor
4) Overall communication and management with authors
5) Sourcing: identifying and making recommendations for printers, paper, and sizes
6) Communication with authors/artists: determining artwork needs, confirming contracts, signoff for publication
7) Marketing Outreach: determining marketing plan and rollout
8) Other Duties as Determined: should the intern wish to take on other duties, or re-arrange from the above, a job description will be collaboratively created
